Best turkey hunting face masks and gloves, including one built for glasses

How we picked

We haven't worn or hunted in any of these. On 2026-09-22 we read each maker's product page and scored them on the rubric in our published First-Season Score: concealment 30%, spring breathability 25%, fit and sizes 20%, glasses and hands 15%, care and durability 10%. Seven masks and gloves are in our registry; the six ranked here cover one of each style, so you are not choosing between two near-identical mesh masks. The one left off, the Mossy Oak Tibbee 3/4 Mesh Mask, scores 6.6 and is the step-up version of the same 3/4 idea, with a rear pullcord and a soft silicone nose grip.

Nothing else in the vests and gear hub does this much for this little. A gobbler coming to a call is looking for the hen that made it, and the two things that give you away are a pale face and moving hands. The NWTF puts it plainly in Turkey Hunting 101: “Be sure to keep your hands covered, as well as your neck and face. Turkeys can spot the slightest movements.”

Why the Tibbee Flex Grip wins

Of everything here, the Mossy Oak Tibbee Flex Grip Glove asks for the fewest compromises. It covers every finger and carries an extended cuff, so there is no bright strip of wrist between the glove and your sleeve when you raise the gun. Mossy Oak builds it in a 90/10 polyester and spandex ultralight Hydroplex fabric it says delivers “maximum breathability with advanced moisture wicking,” with 4-way stretch. The palm carries a silicone logo grip Mossy Oak calls ultra-tacky, and the thumb and index pads work a touchscreen, which matters more than it sounds when you are checking a map at fly-down with your gloves on.

Two sizes, M/L and L/XL, is the limit here. There is no 2XL glove anywhere on this page, so a hunter with large hands should check the measurements on the listing before ordering. It comes in seven Mossy Oak patterns, including Obsession.

Full hood, hat-mask or 3/4?

Masks come in three shapes, and the right one depends mostly on your head, your cap habit and whether you wear glasses.

• Full hood. Covers the whole head, ears and neck in one piece. Most coverage, warmest, and it can muffle sound a little.
• Hat with an attached mask. A brimmed hat and a full face and neck cover in one item, so there is nothing to lose and nothing to pull up.
• Three-quarter mask. Covers the face below the eyes and the neck, and leaves the top of your head to a cap. The traditional turkey mask, and the coolest on a warm morning.

The Kings Camo Poly Hood Mask is the full-hood pick: 100% polyester birds-eye mesh with a pique texture Kings says increases ventilation and wicks moisture, 8 oz, in four patterns including Realtree Edge. Kings lists a “large field of vision,” which is the trade a full hood always has to make. It is one size, and Kings makes no glasses claim for it.

The QuikCamo 3D Leafy Bucket Hat and Camo Mask is the two-in-one: a leafy-cut bucket hat with a full face and neck mask attached, mesh vents near the mouth and cheeks, and a lightweight mesh over the ears that QuikCamo says keeps hearing clear. It fits most heads from 21 to 25 in, and it is sold in a long pattern list, including Mossy Oak Obsession and a blaze orange version. The catch is in the design: the mask is part of the hat, so your own favorite cap stays home.

The Hunter's Specialties 3/4 Net Facemask is the classic shape, and it is covered under the budget pick below.

If you wear glasses

This is the most common complaint in the whole category, and the honest answer is that no mask here promises to solve it. Only one makes any claim at all: QuikCamo says its hat-mask is “easy to wear with glasses” and uses anti-fog mesh. That is why it is the glasses pick. Kings, Mossy Oak and Hunter's Specialties make no glasses claim; a silicone nose grip or an adjustable nose piece is a fit feature, not a fog cure.

Gloves: covered fingers or bare?

Turkey gloves split on one question: do you want every finger covered for concealment, or your thumb and index finger bare for trigger feel and for running a pot call striker?

Full-finger wins on hiding you. The Tibbee Flex Grip covers everything and adds the cuff. If you shoot with gloves on, practice with them on; a glove changes trigger feel enough to notice, and the place to find that out is on the pattern board, which is covered in how to pattern a turkey gun.

The NOMAD Fingerless Lightweight Glove takes the other side: thumb and forefinger exposed, which NOMAD says gives “full dexterity and precise trigger feel,” on a gusseted palm with a silicone logo grip, UPF 50+, in Mossy Oak Bottomland and New Break-Up. The obvious cost is that bare fingertips are bare skin, and skin is the thing you were hiding. Keep those hands low and still, or tuck them under a knee until it is time to move.

The SITKA Equinox Guard Glove splits the difference and adds bug protection. It exposes the thumb and index finger for trigger and release feel, reinforces between the fingers and over the fingertips with Cordura, uses an AX Suede palm, and carries the same scent-free Insect Shield treatment as SITKA's Equinox Guard Hoodie. Its long cuff is designed to overlap that hoodie, so the pair leaves no gap at the wrist. It comes in M, L and XL, in Optifade and Granite only, so it will not match a Mossy Oak setup.

The budget pick

The Hunter's Specialties 3/4 Net Facemask is a plain mesh-net mask in Realtree EDGE with an adjustable nose piece and a form-fitting shape, sold for warm-weather hunts, and Hunter's Specialties says the net keeps bugs off. The 3/4 design leaves room for your own cap. It scores 6.4, and every point it drops is about what the company doesn't publish: no fabric name, no size, no care instructions and no glasses claim.

None of that stops it doing the job. If you are building a first-season kit and the money is going into a call and a vest, buy this mask and the Tibbee gloves and spend the difference elsewhere. Florida FWC's safe hunt guidance asks for exactly that much: “wear camouflage or drab green and brown clothing, including gloves and a face mask.” Where the rest of the money should go is set out in our turkey hunting gear list.

Buyer's guide: choosing a turkey mask and gloves

Start with your cap

If you already own a hat you hunt in, buy a 3/4 mask or a full hood that works with it. If you don't, the hat-and-mask combination saves you a purchase and a decision. It is the smallest choice on this page and the one that decides which of the three shapes you should be shopping.

Check the cuff and the neck

The gaps are what get seen: wrist between glove and sleeve, throat between mask and collar. An extended cuff, a long gauntlet or a mask with a neck section closes them. So does a hooded top: the SITKA Equinox Guard Hoodie builds a mesh face mask into the hood and can replace a separate mask entirely.

Sizes are vague here, so measure

Kings and QuikCamo are one-size items, and QuikCamo at least publishes a head range of 21 to 25 in. Hunter's Specialties publishes no size. Gloves come in M/L and L/XL from Mossy Oak and NOMAD, and M, L and XL from SITKA, with nothing larger anywhere. If your hands or your head are at either end of normal, read the listing measurements before you order.

Running a mouth call in a mask

A mask and a diaphragm call work together fine, but none of these makers claims a mouth-call opening, so don't buy expecting one. The mesh in front of your mouth is what lets the sound out. Keep the colors right underneath too

The first-season mistake: taking the mask off when it gets warm

It always gets warm, and the face is exactly what a bird at 60 yards picks up. Buy the most breathable mask you will actually leave on, which for most beginners means mesh and a 3/4 cut rather than the heaviest hood. Other habits that cost birds are collected in common turkey hunting mistakes.
